Kylie uses a holistic approach that is compassionate, respectful, authentic and collaborative to ensure an engaging and safe environment where clients are supported to make sustainable and positive change. She is dedicated to helping individuals grow and develop whilst ensuring they feel valued and understood.

With extensive experience working in both educational and therapeutic settings, Kylie has a deep knowledge and understanding of the pressures experienced by young people. She is especially passionate about supporting and empowering young people through mid-late childhood, adolescent development and young adulthood. Kylie has a wealth of experience with a range of issues including anxiety, depression, social difficulties, emotion regulation, low-self-esteem, appearance-related issues, perfectionism, education-related concerns.

Kylie is passionate about supporting women in managing the competing demands of family and work, increasing their capacity to cope, and helping them restore balance while retaining a sense of purpose in their lives. Underpinning her approach is Kylie’s careful support of individual needs in terms of self-care, mindful self-compassion, perfectionism, anxiety, emotion regulation and stress management. Kylie enjoys working in the wellbeing space, leading retreats and creating immersive and mindful experiences for women, as well as mentoring and educating.
Therapeutic Approach:
Kylie utilises a client-centred and holistic approach to therapy, drawing on a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness based practices, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Positive Psychology. She offers individual therapy, psycho-educational assessments and retreats.

Medicare rebates can be obtained with a Mental Health Plan via a GP referral. Individuals with a MHCP are currently able to access up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Contact your GP about your eligibility to obtain a Mental Health Plan referral.

ENGAGING CHILDREN
Early intervention can change the trajectory of a child's life by increasing skills and capacity to cope with difficult situations. SALT Psychology offers interventions for anxiety, depression, school-based problems and behavioural difficulties, aiming to increase understanding, resilience, empathy, coping skills and emotion regulation. Intervention is generally grounded in CBT and attachment theory, with a component of mindfulness and growth mindset.

EMPOWERING YOUNG PEOPLE
Young people today are required to navigate their way through a confusing world. SALT Psychology acknowledges these complex pressures and aims to support individuals with identity and appearance-related concerns, anxiety, perfectionism, depression, relationship issues and education-based difficulties, while encouraging self-worth, acceptance and goal setting.

SUPPORTING FAMILIES
Families can experience stress and challenges at times, and may require support. SALT Psychology provides interventions to support positive relationships, emotion regulation for parents and children, parenting skills, support through separation and attachment issues. An holistic, family systems approach that considers and supports the needs of all family members is employed.
